Today in this digital world, technology determines what the future holds. We have the penultimate responsibility to prepare our generation for the future. But this can only be made possible if we secure their PRESENT. The end can only promise soaring possibilities if the present holds opportunities. Necessarily implying the seamless integration of the fundamental social, economic and ownership rights for their individual growth and communal growth as a better society. This would maximise individual potential and ensure citizens of all race, gender, and communities of all ability levels are well equipped to meet the challenges of education, work, and life.
My shared vision is that a nation enables its citizens to achieve their highest potential without failing the solid ethical and moral parameters. We share from the ‘INDIAN VALUES SYSTEM’ the three tenets of Truth, Humility and Glory and wish to instil these in all.
Rajasthan is a desert state, and its rainfall is just as scarce as it gets. On an average of 27 days of precipitation, it charts only 496 mm of rain. If this should not be alarming, then what would be. Water security is the highest on our list of priorities now and should be on everyone else’s too. It is never too late to take action. Proactive initiatives and consistent follow-ups are the only requisites that safeguard social and economic equality to the general public. Measures like rainwater harvesting, recycling & reusing of water, using groundwater optimally, drought management, and avoiding wastage of water have to be stringently implemented to ensure water security for all. And going forward, I envision a self-sustainable Water-efficient – not only Water sufficient Rajasthan.
Mahatma Gandhi once said it is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver, And no truer words have been told ever since. Generally, Health is the attributed state of the absence of diseases, but on the contrary, it is a state of perfect physical, social, and mental well-being. Good Health is a prerequisite to tap into a person’s full potential. Not only do healthy individuals live long and fulfilling life, but they are also relatively more productive and contribute to the economy for good. Directive Principles of State Policy in India’s Constitution directs the State to improve public health, and I highly believe in it and consciously try to incorporate that into my work. Keeping this in mind, I am dedicated to enhancing the healthcare infrastructure investment, improving human resources in the medical fields, and encouraging investments in the medical sector by introducing private investments to help medical services become accessible and affordable to each individual in society.
Women are the life and soul of humanity, and they play a pivotal role in a nation’s development. I believe that women do not need any empowerment. Believe me that they are already empowered and capable. With a lineage of strong women around me, I have borne witness to it firsthand. Though they are half the strength, we do not realise their power. They do not need support. All they need is an equal footing and an equal playground. Let’s remove the hurdles and level up their professional and personal tracks. And be a witness to their sky-rocketing trajectories. It’s about time we redefine Patriarchy and be the support that the term entails. The female emancipation, the discrimination, and the risks they brave are our failures, not women’s reason to fail. The three principles that our social system needs to adopt are equality, fairness and access. Rest they are capable of crafting a whole new world.
India is an agrarian economy. And with nearly 70% of Rajasthan’s population being dependent on agriculture, the key lies in empowering smallholder producers and landless workers who form the Agrarian economy’s backbone. Given that we stay in a desert state, and being dependent on monsoons can not be enough. We need to switch to scientific farming methods as science and technology coupled with improved human capital; can bring about large-scale agriculture a positive change. Investments in hybrid seeds, advanced equipment, state of the art fertilisers can effectively increase smallholders’ yields. Following efficient irrigation, precision farming and plant breeding techniques, we can see another green revolution about ten years from now.
Rajasthan is home to stunning vistas, witness to royal heritage, land of regal monuments, resplendent with diverse flora & fauna, and beautiful landscapes, a great point of attention to tourists. In 2013, more than 3.16 crores of people visited Rajasthan for spending their leisurely time in the land of deserts. Tourism faces significant challenges. Putting it on a sustainable path requires forging partnerships and networking within the tourism industry—also between the industry governments and tourists themselves. I intend to use my experience and education in the hospitality sector to effectively open avenues for the state to welcome a substantial number of tourists. Sustainable tourism is likely to offer better quality products by being more experiential and emotionally engaging. Nowadays, travellers expect more from their holiday than just relaxing; they need curated experiences and stories to narrate.
Electricity is an essential element to a quality life. It is an essential facility that each citizen is should have the rights. My vision paves the way for me to provide electricity to everyone’s home with 24-hour electricity in my state. The rural population in Rajasthan amounts to 75% of the state’s total population, and it is a significantly huge number to ignore. They MUST have access to a quality life. They are every bit entitled like the rest. I feel utterly blessed to have my idols who have been working tirelessly towards providing electricity to rural people. Chief Minister of our State has been burning the midnight oil to make the dream come to fruition, and bringing solar energy to one and all, under the Solar energy policy 2014. I would also like to thank our Prime Minister, who is also working to bring urbanisation into play to enhance people’s quality of life. We certainly can generate electricity for the state using renewable resources like biomass to boost the supply.
Narendra Modi ji, is of the conviction that the more we give importance to skill development, the more competent will be our youth. I am grateful to our Prime Minister for starting the Skill India plan to help develop and create jobs. Also, special mentions to our honourable Chief Minister to start the Apprenticeship Act to work towards the same. Our state has endless potential to obtain skills and work towards building the nation. Brick by brick, inch by inch. Our working population sees a growth of 6 lakhs every year, and it is time that we start filling in the seats. We could create more youth opportunities by investing in Foreign Direct Investments, Industrialization, and encouraging entrepreneurship.
Good education presents good citizens. Education shapes citizens suited to operate in a democratic setup and develops the resonating values that align with it. A proper school system ensures that we tap into our upcoming citizens’ potential and raise good, righteous people. Education gives us an understanding of the world around us and offers us a window and a peephole into the world of wisdom. Every human being should be entitled to an education. Despite race, creed, and gender, education makes it possible for people to stand out as equal with all the other persons from different walks of life. What education offers is the passport to the future, for tomorrow, is yours if you prepare today.
Sports play a significant role in our lives. They develop our sensibilities and teach us disciplines that can’t be learned otherwise. They are highly instrumental in enhancing our abilities and strengths that benefit us later in our adult lives in one way or another. Not just this, sports development also raises good sportsmen that bring pride to the nation. My mission is to enhance the quality of sports in rural areas to contribute to the state’s growth.
Drugs have the potential to sabotage the lives of our youth in ways unimaginable. It breaks me that our youth is invested in the consumption of drugs and have submitted themselves to the chaos. The chaos which takes many lives and wastes the nation’s collective potential. My single, most important agenda is to stop the addiction of drugs in our youth by taking effective measures like raising awareness about the issue, organizing de-addiction camps, wiping off stigmas attached to drugs, and other obstacles in the way of the development of our nation.
