My Values

Our decisions mirror our values and beliefs and provide a specific purpose. This purpose helps us derive satisfaction individually or collectively. Values are inherent and become an integral part of the personal philosophy, necessarily implying our value system.  Not only does this shape our aims, ideals, manner of thinking, and actions, but they are also the governing principles of our behaviour. Being our conscious or unconscious motivators and justifiers of actions and judgment, in return. Values help us provide standards of competence and morality and are generally influenced by one’s culture, moral and social conditioning. These values are a long term influence; it won’t be wrong to say that they are relatively permanent. It should be noted that most of our core values are learned early in life from family, friends, neighbourhood school, mass print, visual media and other sources. Hence it is suggested to stay away from the negative thoughts and conversations, as much as we can, not only in our childhood but our children’s too. They need to see the source of positivity radiating from us loaded with effective thoughts about everything that touches the realm of our life.

Authenticity

Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.

 â€“ Brene Brown

Are you even living your truest-self if you are not authentic ? Nothing in this world is more attractive than being completely genuine. Never mask anything off and BE you fiercely. There is nothing wrong with being unapologetically yourself unless you are harming someone. Authenticity lies in understanding yourself and allowing yourself to show the most authentic you without any inhibitions whatsoever.

Truthfulness

A truth that’s told with bad intent beats all the lies that you can invent.

 â€“ William Blake

As they say, always tell  YOUR truth. No matter the consequence, always back what you say with absolute truth and nothing else. The key to living a stress-free life and the one without the fear of judgement is just being truthful to yourself and others. When you tell a lie, you often have to support it by fabricating another hundred lies, so it is better to be honest, and confident about yourself.

Joyfullness

When the mind is pure, Joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.

 – Buddha

Joy, the essential part of our lives that we oversee very often. Joy does not necessarily have to come from the best things in the world but joy engulfs all those little things that the world has to offer. One could derive joy from the sun, the sea waves, that one chocolate that you like, and joy is subjective so choose your happiness and live it!

Curiosity

I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.

 â€“ Albert Einstein

Curiosity is the mother of invention, very rightly said! If you do not pursue what you are curious about, how are you even going to discover yourself? Well, the point here is that you always must do the things that you enjoy. Life is a little too short to do the things that don’t serve you happiness, so limit the time you spend on the things that you don’t enjoy. Break free and do what makes you happy!

Responsibility

You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.

– Abraham Lincoln

Owning up to things is what you need to practice to assume responsibility. Whatever you do in your life, be responsible for it. Being accountable for your actions gives you a different perspective to operate from, and there is nothing better. Disappointments go right of the window when holding yourself responsible for your life and controlling the steering of your life sets you apart.

Love

To love is risky. Not to love is Foolish.

– Maxime Lagace

Do what you love and love what you do. Which stands true for all of your relationships with other people.
Get intimate and look deeper into your associations and love like there is no tomorrow. Spend more time with the ones with whom you can let your guard down and love. It is always to remember that quality is important than quantity and see your relationships from that point of view

Fearlessness

Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.

– Roy. T. Bennett

Ever wondered from what does fear stem? It stems from our insecurities. Once we own up to our flaws and tend to work upon them, we become fearless. Never underestimate yourself and chase your goals fearlessly. You stop fearing anything when you believe that you aren’t corrupted or even if you’ve been, you have worked upon yourself to change it. So be yourself and be fearless!

Loyality

Where there is loyalty, weapons are of no use.

 â€“ Paulo Coelho

Loyalty is the pillar of your relationships, your relationship with others and with yourself. Value your relationships and swear that you will always be loyal to the person you have shared a bond with. Stay loyal to yourself too, prioritize yourself, take care of yourself, and ensure that nothing can ever harm you. Treat yourself the best way possible and never betray yourself!

My Ideology

Ideology, be it social or political philosophy in which practical elements are as prominent as theoretical ones, is a system of ideas that aspires both to declare your intent to the world and to change it. It helps you to announce the vision that helps you seek change in the world.

Democratic Decision Making

Democracy is vital to provide a responsive administration to the people. Democracy comes alive only with wide, informed and active participation of the people. My commitment to democratic decision making rests upon the realization of these facts.

Economic Justice

Gandhiji has said that poverty is the worst form of violence. Every soul lost to the violence of poverty is a blow to the moral well-being of our society. I believe poverty alleviation is a corner stone to ensuring economic justice. Fighting economic injustices such as bonded labour, distress migration, etc are also important aspects.

Social Justice

Our society is plagued by social injustices and inequities day in and day out. Social evils like caste discrimination, gender inequality, etc impinge upon the right of an individual to live a life of dignity. Tackling these issues head on to ensure social justice is of the utmost importance to me.

Transparency

Corruption is a plague afflicting our nation. India and Rajasthan can set out on the path to greatness, only if corruption is eradicated. As such, society sans corruption is possible only through transparency and accountable governance. In full realization of this, transparency and accountable governance are values which I am unequivocally committed to.

Basic Necessities of Life

The availability of certain basic amenities such as water, electricity, healthcare, and welfare benefits is non-negotiable to lead a life of dignity. Ensuring access to these basic amenities, to every citizen in our state, is an article of faith for me.
