Today, every second Indian citizen is active on social media. It has become an effective tool to exchange information and connect globally.

Social Media has revolutionized the way people communicate. It has become the defining technology of the information age. Today, more than 320 million Facebook users, 17.5 million Twitter users and 120 million Instagram users in the country are using these platforms to connect with people all over the world. Social media has transformed the world into a global village. Social media has given voice to millions of people and empowered them politically. Local businesses can get a global audience while governance problems at the local level are catching the attention of the top leaders in the administration – all through social media.

With full appreciation of this power of social media, I started to interact with you all through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and a personal website that I have developed. Within a few years, over 1.1 million people have interacted with me through my Facebook page. The amazing response that I have received and the love and affection that all of you have showered upon me has humbled me and has further motivated me to contribute more in the sphere of public life.

In the recent past, we have held social media conferences with our most active followers and supporters on Facebook, discussing matters of significant importance to the state. We collectively came up with innovative and practical ideas that could serve as maps to the state’s path of growth and development. We were also grateful to have dignitaries like Union Ministers, Eminent Lawyers, Bureaucrats and Sportspersons, who further addressed them and helped us resolve them.

I am personally involved in managing my social media accounts on different platforms and I look forward to interacting with you in the near future as well.
