Before stepping onto the state stage, Dhananjai made his mark as the President of the Nagaur District Cricket Association (DCA) and later after resignation he contested for President of Jodhpur Cricket Association. His tenure is widely regarded as a turning point for cricket in the region.
Dhananjai Singh Khimsar’s unopposed election as the President of the Jodhpur District Cricket Association marked a natural and dignified progression in his administrative journey.

Coming from a legacy of leadership and already respected for his disciplined, modern approach to sports governance, his elevation in Jodhpur was seen as a vote of confidence rather than a contest. District officials, players, and stakeholders rallied behind him because of his proven work in Nagaur and his growing influence in Rajasthan’s cricketing landscape. His unopposed victory symbolized unity, trust, and a shared belief that Jodhpur cricket needed a forward-looking administrator who could blend royal grace, entrepreneurial professionalism, and a player-centric vision. Under his leadership, Jodhpur DCA is poised to embrace transparency, technology, and a renewed commitment to nurturing talent across the region.
Under his leadership, Nagaur DCA witnessed and Jodhpur DCA continues to enjoy his wisdom of sports:
• Modernisation of cricket infrastructure
• Transparent and merit-based selection processes
• Structured training programs for rural talent
• Improved coordination between academies, coaches, and district officials
• A renewed focus on women’s cricket and youth development
He introduced a culture of professional management, ensuring that district cricket was no longer run on outdated systems but on clear processes, accountability, and measurable outcomes. His work earned him respect across Rajasthan’s cricketing circles, positioning him as a credible, forward-thinking administrator capable of leading at the state level.
Despite the Rajasthan Cricket Association’s Ad-Hoc Committee witnessing two changes in leadership—first under Ganganagar MLA Jaideep Bihani and later under D.D. Kumawat—one element remained constant: the unwavering confidence shown by the Government, sports enthusiasts, and the cricket fraternity in Dhananjai Singh Khimsar. He emerged as the only member retained in both Ad-Hoc Committees, a rare continuity that reflects his credibility, professionalism, and steady leadership. The first committee under Mr. Bihani received three extensions of three months
each, and the subsequent committee under Mr. Kumawat was also granted two three-month extensions, underscoring the prolonged transitional phase in RCA’s governance. Through all these administrative shifts, Dhananjai’s presence provided stability, consistency, and a player-centric vision—qualities that positioned him as a trusted figure capable of guiding Rajasthan cricket through uncertainty and towards a more structured, transparent future.
Dhananjai’s rise within the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) reflects both trust and recognition. His appointment as a key figure in the Association came at a time when Rajasthan cricket needed stability, vision, and modern governance.
Within RCA, he has been associated with:
• Strengthening coordination between district associations
• Advocating transparent financial and administrative practices
• Supporting the revival of cricket infrastructure across the state
• Promoting equal opportunities for players from every district
• Encouraging the adoption of technology-driven selection systems, data-based performance tracking, and statewide talent-hunt programs
His leadership style blends royal dignity, entrepreneurial efficiency, and sportsman’s discipline — a combination that has resonated strongly with players, coaches, and administrators.
His growing influence was further acknowledged when he was chosen to represent Rajasthan Cricket Association in the BCCI, giving Rajasthan a strong and articulate voice at the national level. His presence in BCCI forums symbolizes a new era where Rajasthan’s cricketing aspirations are aligned with national standards of governance and excellence.
Dhananjai Singh Khimsar stands at the intersection of heritage and modernity. As a royal scion, a young business leader, and a former squash champion, he brings a rare blend of values to cricket administration. His mission is clear:
• Fair and technology-enabled selection
• Statewide talent identification and nurturing
• Professional governance inspired by global best practices
• Empowering district cricket as the backbone of Rajasthan’s cricketing future
• Building a system where every young cricketer — from any village or city — gets a fair chance to shine
His journey reflects a commitment not just to cricket administration, but to building a new sporting culture in Rajasthan — one that is modern, transparent, inclusive, and ambitious.
